




















Cyrus Ardalan is a Vice Chairman of Barclays Capital, responsible for the firm's investment banking activities with sovereigns and government agencies in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa and supranational institutions globally. Previously he was responsible for overseeing the firm's investment banking activities in the Middle East and Africa and prior to that in Emerging and Continental Europe.
Mr. Ardalan joined Barclays Capital in November 2000 from BNP Paribas where he held a number of senior positions between 1990 and 2000 in London and New York, including Global Head of Bonds, Global Head of Fixed Income marketing and Head of BNP Paribas Capital Markets' activities in North and South America. Previously, Mr. Ardalan was a Managing Director at Chemical Bank and Division Chief of Treasury Operations at the World Bank in Washington.
Mr. Ardalan has served on the board of the Dubai International Financial Centre (Dubai's onshore banking facility), a member of the Executive Committee of the International Primary Dealer Association, a member of the Federal Reserve of New York Foreign Exchange Committee and Chairman of the Capital Markets Committee of the Bankers Association for Foreign Trade. Mr Ardalan is a graduate of University College London and Balliol College University of Oxford.
