Chris Stoakes is Director of Knowledge, Research and Learning at the top 10 global law firm Hogan Lovells International LLP. He is responsible for the firm's knowledge management, library and research, and technical training functions.

Chris qualified as a solicitor at Freshfields (as it then was) and has spent the intervening 30 years in and around the City, as a legal and financial journalist and editor, BD partner at a City law firm, management consultant and training designer.

Chris is a qualified teacher and the author of best-selling books that are used extensively by junior professionals: All You Need To Know About The City, All You Need To Know About Commercial Awareness and Is Law For You?

Chris speaks regularly to young professionals about how the City and the financial markets work.
