




















What is the UCL Finance Conference 2012?
The UCL Finance Conference is a one day event that is intended to provide students with an opportunity to learn more about Finance and to network with what we believe will be the future of the industry.
Who is organising the conference?
The UCL Union Investment Society is organising the UCL Finance Conference 2012. We are a society entirely run by students.
What will be included in the ticket price?
It will include access to all talks including one selection of workshops, as well as a hot lunch, and coffee breaks.
Where is the event being held?
The conference is being held at the BMA House on Tavistock Square, London which is minutes away from UCL.
Who is eligible to apply?
Everyone is welcome to apply! Applicants can be undergraduate or postgraduate students as well as those taking an MBA or those who are already working in the finance sector.
How much are the tickets?
Tickets are £39 each and include access to all Keynote talks, the Panel discussion, workshop sessions as well as a hot lunch and all tea and coffee breaks. For UCL Union Investment Society members, there are 50 tickets are priced at £35. Please note that unfortunately refunds can not be issued.
Do I need to pre-register for this event?
As we expect demand to outstrip capacity, we ask that all interested delegates submit their CV for consideration here. We recommend you do this sooner rather than later as we are reading applications on a rolling basis.
When can I apply?
We will start accepting applications in November.

How many people are you expecting?
We are expecting up to 250 delegates.
What are the workshops?
The workshops are opportunities for delegates to focus on areas of interest, and will be very interactive. The two options are Markets and Business. The former is intended more for individuals interested in the Financial Markets and who would like to pursue a career in Sales & Trading for example. On the other hand, the latter is for individuals who are more interested in Corporate Finance and who would like to pursue a career in IBD, for example. On the schedule page you can see the speakers for each workshop.
Is it normal that I have received no physical ticket?
There is no physical ticket despite having the option to put a delivery address when confirming your place. You will receive further information regarding the event approximately ten days prior to the event. If you are unsure whether your place has been confirmed, feel free to email info@uclfc.org.
